Areti Georgopoulos

Areti assists employees in obtaining and retaining unemployment benefits by counseling and representing clients in hearings before the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED).  She also assists nurses in defending their licenses before the Board of Nursing.

Areti graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School.  She served as Executive Editor of Law and Inequality: A Journal of Theory and Practice, and published an article on the detention of immigrant youth.  She clerked for the Honorable Lloyd Zimmerman in Hennepin County District Court, who had a distinguished career as an attorney for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission before becoming a judge.  Prior to joining Fabian, May and Anderson, Areti worked as an associate attorney with Kim Hunter and Associates, P.L.L.C.

Areti is a member of the Minnesota Bar Association, the Hennepin County Bar Association, and Minnesota Women Lawyers.
